SHOWROOM & DEALER QUESTIONS
Where can I see your machines?
You can see our machines at our three distribution center retail outlets or you may call our toll free number (1-800-523-4777)
and ask the operator for a reference of someone who lives in your area that has the particular machine that you are interested
in. As far as we know, we are the only company that gives out references wherein you can get an unbiased opinion from an
existing customer as to what they think about that machine. |
What if I have bought a machine and do not want to be used as a reference?
You simply have to call us or write to us, give us your customer number and we will put a "no" next to your name for reference
use. Besides, we do not use a particular person's name more than three times. |
Do you have dealers in other states?
We sell direct to the end-user and do not have a dealership network. We have three retail outlets at our distribution centers
(please click on the "Showrooms" button on the left). |
Do you have dealers or branches in Canada?
No. At this time we do not ship to Canada. |
Can I go to your showroom to pick up a machine I am interested in?
Yes, you can. However, there are certain times that we may be out of stock of a particular item. Before you drive a long
distance, please call 1-800-523-4777 to verify that we have that item in stock. |
I live in a different state. If I visit your showroom and purchase a machine, do I have to pay sales tax?
Yes, you do unless you are a resident of Alaska, Oregon, Montana or Delaware and can provide tax exempt certification for
one of those four states. We are required to treat every sale from our showroom as a local sale. |
ORDERING & SHIPPING QUESTIONS
How quickly do you ship orders?
IN A FLASH! All orders received before 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday, are normally shipped the same day. |
Can I order multiple items quickly without going to each item page?
Yes! We have a quick order form located here. |
How are items shipped?
Items over 70 lbs. are delivered by truck freight and carry an additional shipping charge. The actual cost will depend on
the shipping weight of an item. The truck freight prices shown on this web site are for addresses within the lower 48 states. |
If I Live in Hawaii or Alaska, how are items sent to me?
Items shipped to Hawaii or Alaska may require special shipping charges. For items less than 70 lbs., standard shipping
to Hawaii and Alaska is by the USPS. Special services are available, but must be quoted. All items over 70 lbs.
are shipped by ocean freight. Please call us for shipping quotes. |
Why do you have fixed shipping charges for items over 70 lbs.?
We have negotiated good freight rates with the freight companies and have taken an average cost per machine and applied
it as a general rule. If you were to call your local freight company and ask for a shipping rate for a particular machine
from our warehouse to your location, you will find that the savings we provide are substantial with our fixed rate shipping
cost. PLEASE NOTE: The trucking company will notify you prior to delivery to make arrangements. Truck drivers
are subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give any assistance in unloading.
Please be prepared for this "curbside" delivery, as you are responsible for unloading the item(s) and placing them in your
shop. This normally takes a number of "friends". We recommend that you make arrangements with the trucking company
to take delivery at the freight terminal if you can. They will load it on your vehicle. Make sure your vehicle
is capable of handling the weight. Also, bring plenty of tie downs to properly secure the load. |
Do you ship to other countries?
We can generally ship small items under 70 lbs. to many different countries (excluding Canada) if they can be shipped by
the postal service or UPS. All additional shipping charges would be paid by the customer. For machinery over
70 lbs., there are some limitations to certain countries depending on the electrical service available. For example,
most European countries have 240V, 50 cycles. Our motors are 60 cycles and would not work. On small shipments,
the freight cost to ship to Europe or other countries is cost prohibitive. The customer pays all freight charges as
well as any brokerage fees.
For more information, see below. |
I work full time and there is no one home to receive or sign for the freight. What are my options?
Usually, the freight company will call you to arrange an appropriate delivery time. It is very common for customers to pick
up their order at the freight terminal at their own convenience. |
How can I place an order and when are operators (vs. the automated system) available to answer the phones?
Ordering online is the easiest way of placing an order. Simply click on the "Shop For Tools" button in the upper right on
our home page to get started. Operators are available to take your orders Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
EST and on Saturday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm EST. 99% of all orders placed before 12:00 PM, anywhere in the continental US,
are shipped the same day. You may also use our automated voice mail system after hours to place your order or you may fax
your order. These orders will be retrieved and shipped as soon as possible. Phone Orders: (800) 523-4777
Fax Orders: (800) 438-5901 |

MACHINERY QUESTIONS
What is the difference between your regular machines and your Z series machines?
The Z series machines are normally equipped with certain features that would have been optional or are not available on
regular machines. The Z series machines are "better" than the regular ones in that aspect. |
Can I buy a machine without a motor?
No. The removal of a motor from a crated machine is a very laborious process and the reduction in price is very small in
comparison to the real value of the motor. Our advice would be to buy the machine, remove the motor yourself and sell it
privately. |
Where are your machines manufactured?
Our machines are manufactured in a variety of countries, but the majority of them come from Taiwan. We have dealt with most
factories in Taiwan for more than twenty years and also have two offices with quality control engineers in Taiwan and China. |
Do you have any refurbished or reconditioned machines?
Quite often we will have freight damaged machines or machines that have been returned for a variety of reasons. We do not
ship these machines out to customers. These machines are usually sold at our Tent Sales on an "as-is" basis at incredible
prices. |
Can I get a list of the used and refurbished machines you have?
No. That selection changes on a daily basis as the quantities are very limited per model. |
I just bought a used Grizzly machine. Do I need to register it with you? Can I get a manual for it?
If you registered the machine with us, we would be able to put the information on our computer system and assign you a customer
number if you do not have one. That way, whenever you need parts, we can easily refer to the correct model number that you
have.

and the length of blade. |

SERVICE & WARRANTY QUESTIONS
How do you control quality on your machines?
We control the quality of our machines in many ways including the following:
- We have machines built to our specifications & standards. We do NOT simply buy what the factory sells.
- We have an
office overseas with engineers whose job is to inspect products at the factory before being shipped to us.
- All of our
locations have a Quality Control department whose job is to inspect machines upon arrival in our warehouses.
- All three
of our locations have complete machine shops and trained engineers.
- Our American engineers also make frequent visits
to our supplier factories.
Many of us here at Grizzly are woodworkers and/or metalworkers. We use our equipment both on and off the job so we know
our machines very well. |
How can I get help for technical questions, parts or repairs?
In the unlikely event that your Grizzly tool needs repair or if you have a technical question, help is as close as a phone
call away. The number for our technical & customer support is (570) 546-9663. Often, our trained
service technicians are able to walk you through minor repairs and adjustments over the phone. If not, we offer complete
service facilities at all locations - so repairs can be completed with as little down-time as possible. If you are planning
to visit one of our service centers, call at least 2 weeks before, so we can schedule repairs and make sure parts are available. |
What is the warranty on your products?

This warranty does not apply to defects due directly to misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, repairs, improper wiring, alterations, lack of maintenance or consumable parts. CATALOG QUESTIONS
How often do you put out catalogs?
Our main catalog is printed once a year and it is known in the industry as a "keeper". Unlike some of the other tool companies,
we do not put out a catalog every few weeks. However, we do have a sale flyer in the summer time and sometimes we put out
a small Christmas catalog. |
I just moved and would like to continue getting your catalogs. What should I do?
Send us a "change of address" card and we will do the rest. |
OTHER QUESTIONS
Do you carry products other than what is on your web site?
No. Our complete line of more than 10,000 products is currently on our web site. If you cannot find a particular item, you
can use our "Search" function. |
Do you display at shows?
Not too often, but if we are going to any shows, they will be listed on our web site. |
What is your Tent Sale?
Several times a year we have one-day sales of all the discontinued, defective, freight damaged, and missing part machines
and accessories. We also have magazine publishers and other vendors display their wares and give out free magazines
as well as have drawings for free tools, etc.... It is quite an event and one that every Grizzly customer should experience
at least once. There are a lot of incredible bargains and we normally get into trouble with the local authorities due to
the traffic jams we create every year! Please click
here for current information on this year's tent sales. |
I just received a Grizzly gift certificate. May I use it for on-line ordering?
No. However, we are working on a system whereby the gift certificates are recorded on the computer in such a manner that
all you would need to do would be to enter the gift certificate number. We are currently working on this process and it
should be on-line shortly. |

Will your electrical motors work in my country?
All of our machines run on 60 cycle electrics. Most of North America and some Asian countries run on 60 cycle. However,

cannot change or remove the electrics on our equipment. |
